Social integration is an important factor in health conditions and overall wellness. As you become more active in your community, you lessen the chances of having challenges with bouts of depression, anxiety and stress. The National Institute of Health indicated that in 2021, one in five American adults lived with a mental illness. Anxiety disorders, depression and stress factors are prominent in our society. Loneliness and social isolation has been linked to and identified by the CDC as a public health risk. Shared faith, a sense of belonging and a feeling that you matter are important to your well-being and the better you are, the better you provide care.
